Hyderabad: The Germany based seed producers KWS team led by Satish Rai, Senior Manager, Business Development Technology visited the Professor Jayashankar Telangana State Agricultural University (PJTSAU) and met with Vice Chancellor, Dr. V. Praveen Rao.

Praveen Rao briefed the visiting team about new initiatives and achievements of the varsity in last three years. He also explained about the university mandate of teaching, research and extension activities.

Rao asked the KWS representatives to enhance income of farmers in the State, by extending their support in growing drought tolerant corn variety, tropical sugar bean, soya bean and mustard.

Satish Rai explained about their ongoing research activities based in Germany and 70 other countries in the world. He stated that the KWS was the 4th largest seed producer company in the world and keen to support to PJTSAU in improving of high yielding varieties which were suitable for tropical conditions.
