In April, The Directorate of Extension Education of Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) would hold training courses on “Seed Production of Vegetable Crops” and “Vocational and Career Development Programme”.
For horticulture development officers, district extension specialists and scientists of Krishi Vigyan Kendra, a training course on “Seed Production of Vegetable Crops” would be conducted on April 7 and 8, says Dr R.S. Sidhu, Director of Extension Education.
He told that, during the course, experts would impart practical as well as theoretical training in seed production of onion, brinjal, okra, bitterguord, bottleguord, pumpkin, carrot, beans, pea, garlic, cucumber, potato, cabbage, radish, muskmelon, watermelon, etc.
The experts would also educate trainees about weed control and management of insect, pests and diseases in vegetable crops.
