As construction continues on the North America Seedcare Institute expansion in Stanton, Minnesota, in anticipation of a late-2016 opening, it’s an exciting time for the seed industry.
The head of the Seedcare Institute at Stanton, Dr. Ravi Ramachandran said, “The foundation is set and we are seeing progress toward our goal. We’ve been working diligently since August and though the winter conditions can be challenging, we are forging ahead and making great progress.”
Once complete, the site will be an ongoing resource for seed treaters and other professionals looking to learn about the newest advances in application technology and to share best practices. New features will include high-tech laboratories, seed treating and application performance evaluation areas, a state-of-the-art training facility and a multimedia, interactive center for educating customers.
Ramachandran says “Every year the number of visitors to the Stanton site grows. We are excited to have even more resources to offer the industry, so that our partners can get the most out of our seed treatment technologies.”
The Stanton site is one of 12 Seed care Institutes that Syngenta operates globally. The sites make up a global network of centers of excellence in product application, quality management, training, seed science and product support for customers.
