Job Title: Research Associate
Job Location: Fargo, North Dakota; at the USDA/ARS facility on the campus of North Dakota State University.
Relocation provided.

Qualification:
Proficiency with database software
An ability to communicate with a diverse audience including researchers, plant breeders and growers;
The ability to work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary, regionally dispersed research team, plus the motivation and discipline to carry out autonomous research;
A record of science innovation and creativity, plus the ability and willingness to incorporate novel ideas and approaches into scientific investigations.
Experience: Commensurate with experience
Responsibilities:
Under the direction of laboratory manager, carry out innovative, impactful research and assay design that leads to novel and important scientific outcomes;
Perform association analyses to link genotypic variation with different phenotypes;
Manage and update databases and genotype information;
Interact with industry stakeholders;
Produce high quality scientific papers suitable for publication in quality journals, for client reports and granting of patents;
Contribute to the development of innovative concepts and ideas for further research.
Minimum requirements:
To be considered you will hold a PhD (or will shortly satisfy the requirements of a PhD) in Agricultural Research, Plant Biology, Genetics, or a related discipline.
