ISTA SHC Workshop: Molecular Methods in Seed Health Testing
ISTA Seed Health Committee and Naktuinbouw are looking forward to host you at the SHC workshop on “Molecular methods in Seed Health Testing”.
This workshop will provide an overview of seed health testing methods using molecular methods. It will include various molecular assays for the detection of seed transmittable pathogens with reverse transcriptase PCR, classic end-point PCR, bio-PCR and real-time PCR. Lectures and hands on experiments will give an overview of molecular methods that are or will be used in the future for seed health testing.
The workshop is aimed for people who are interested in seed health testing and use or want to implement molecular assays in their laboratory. Some experience of participants in molecular assays is recommended.
Workshop topics: 1. Bacteria 2. Viruses
The workshop will include visits of the Naktuinbouw laboratories and an official workshop dinner in Leiden.
